Research

I am a comparative political scientist who works primarily with quantitative methods. My research is roughly organized around two themes:

  1. Cyber security in autocratic states, at the intersection of authoritarian politics and international cyber security. My ongoing dissertation investigates the legal repression of digital rights in Africa.
  2. The dynamics of violent and nonviolent conflict, within the broader field of conflict studies.
